“Jeffersonian Maxim - that government is best that governs least”

Who We Are

The Home Rule Coalition is a group of concerned Floridians who have witnessed the erosion of home rule, local government, and citizen input.

This isn’t about politics- it’s about power and returning it to the people from the politicians.

Our Mission is simple:

Correcting the imbalance of power between the state and localities.

A letter from our co-founder:

I want to thank the grassroots from across the state that spoke loudly on this issue. Governor Desantis heard our voices and acted with clarity.

As the mayor of a small coastal town this bill would have silenced the voices of those most impacted by it. I traveled and heard from many elected officials and locals who felt they were not being heard. Yesterday proved when we speak we are heard!

Due to the grassroots support from all around the state and the coalitions built we will be making a major announcement in the coming weeks.

This issue isn’t just about vacation rentals it’s about the imbalance of power between the state and localities.

Stay tuned!
